Polish American Arts Association of Washington, DC Opens Applications for 2026 Scholarship Program
Washington, DC — The Polish American Arts Association of Washington, DC (PAAA) is accepting applications for its 2026 Scholarship Program, an annual initiative that awards one-time financial scholarships to Polish-American students who demonstrate academic excellence and pride in their cultural heritage.
“As we prepare to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our Association’s founding, we are proud to continue our long-standing commitment to supporting Polish-American students in their academic and artistic pursuits,” said Matthew Stefanski, PAAA President and a 2011 scholarship recipient. “This scholarship reflects both our history and our investment in the next generation of leaders.”
Since the program’s inception in 1999, PAAA has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to over 75 students.
“Our scholarship alumni have gone on to successful careers as doctors, artists, lawyers, musicians, educators, scientists, researchers, and business owners,” said Mary Beth Sowa, Chair of the PAAA Scholarship Committee. “We strongly encourage eligible students to apply and become part of this growing legacy.”
The PAAA Scholarship is open to full-time Polish-American college students enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States who are either from, or currently studying in, Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
