The Constitution of The Polish American Arts Association (PAAA) exhorts our organization “to support and promote the higher educational and scholastic endeavors of our youth.” In accordance with this stated mission, the Scholarship Grant Committee announces the opening of the twelfth season of the PAAA Grant Program. New applications will be accepted from January 1, 2010 thru March 31, 2010 for a Scholarship Grant of $3,000. Winners will be notified by May 17, 2010 and will receive their grant at the PAAA board installation meeting held in June.

Eligibility Requirements

Scholarship Grants 2010 Requirements are as follows:

·         Applicant must be an American Citizen, either by birth or naturalization.

·   Applicant must be of Polish or Polish American Heritage.

·   Applicant must be resident of Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia.

·   Applicant must be a full time undergraduate student registered at an accredited University in the   United States and enrolled in the sophomore, junior or senior year at the institution.

Factors for Consideration

·        Academic and scholastic performance and achievements.

·   Related Volunteer Involvement in Community.

·   Significant Contributions to Arts, Sciences or Culture.

·   Career goals and how the grant would advance these objectives.

·   Financial need.

Please submit the following:

·        An official copy of your high school and college record with your GPA.

·   A letter of recommendation from a faculty member under whom you have studied.

·   A 600-1000 word essay defining your career goals and how the PAAA grant might help you advance them.

·   Photos or copies of examples of your work may be enclosed, but will not be returned.

·   A recent wallet-sized photo of yourself for PAAA publicity.

·   A nonrefundable check for $15 application fee payable to: PAAA Scholarship Fund and mailed to.
